I will never forget shooting footage at the secret hydro-electric dam and getting chased down by soldiers, who wanted my tapes.  I pleaded détente and ignorance - and just wouldn’t give up the goods. Somehow, that worked. Now you too can see the secret footage without the fear of getting arrested!  I still can’t believe I didn’t go MIA.


I took every opportunity I had to immerse myself and my camera into the culture - including planting rice not far from the now infamous dam (which is harder to do with a video camera over your shoulder while up to your knees in mud than you might think). This footage collection is Vietnam - how I saw it.
